Jake Lawrence:

  • Bachelor of Science, Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa.
  • National Academy of Sports Medicine.
    • Certified Personal Trainer.
  • Lifelong athlete, mentor and coach.
  • Specializes in core, functional and power/speed athlete training.
  • Experience training athletes (of all ages and abilities) in wrestling, football, basketball, golf, soccer, volleyball and tennis.

Through many years as an amateur wrestler in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin I developed a strong love for completely functional fitness. I soon became extremely dedicated to training and preparing for competition, believing that through strength-training and conditioning all challenges could be overcome. My obsession was evident as I enjoyed preparing to compete as much as I did competing. Thus, my lifestyle was formed and a career born. I began training wrestlers while in college and upon graduation broadened my scope to include clients of all backgrounds and goals.

Every great achievement starts with a challenge or a goal. I have a deep passion and belief in health and fitness; those two words should be synonymous with life and living as without them we are leading unfulfilled lives. As a fitness professional I am here to motivate and provide intensity to your workouts and be a driving force in your fitness. Let me be a part of your success and let’s accept the challenge and achieve your goals in an efficient, functional manner!

Lisa Templeton:

  • Bachelor of Science, Registered Nurse, University of Iowa.
  • National Academy of Sports Medicine.
    • Certified Personal Trainer.
    • Performance Enhancement Specialist.
  • Specializes in core, functional and endurance athlete training.

I have always worked in the health field. As a Registered Nurse, I was in charge of a large oncology unit for many years. I saw up close what it means to not have your health. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work as a nurse was teaching patients how to live as healthy and active a life as possible within the limitations of their illness/treatments. The belief in the transforming power of functional physical exercise and healthy nutrition has driven me to become a fitness professional.

My personal experience as a competitive marathon runner has taught me what it means to be able to draw deep and pull something out of yourself that you did not know was even possible. I believe that we all have that potential within us at whatever level of fitness we start at.

I believe deeply in the balance between body, mind and spirit. As your fitness professional I will help you to increase your energy, optimize your health, improve your personal performance, reduce stress, eliminate wasted time in the gym, make your body strong and fully functional!
